scallops great but mushroom risotto was just not very good at all-no taste and mushy like gruel. signature sushi and crab were great too. asparagus was ok. desserts were very good, had the apple pie with vanilla ice cream and chocolate cake. very expensive not 100% sure it's worth $100 per person but that's i guess the going rate for a restaurant these days if you don't go to the diner or for pizza.

Happy Hour Happy Hour Happy Hour...I don't drink but I understand the concept and if you're looking for a place to get your coworkers to convene at , this is the place. There are some Miami-like vibes in their greenhouse area that's outdoor with palm trees and gratuitous foliage , it can double as a party destination (don't know why they haven't given it that Catch/Tao/Lavo vibe because this place has potential ) Met up w a friend of mine who's a patron of this location and when I walked in I knew this spot is perfect for parties and even some exclusive events ! Come on Syosset , you all snoozing ... just for dining? It should be a party on a Tuesday here ! Okay, I'm gassing this place up more than it should but the ambiance and decor is great, the happy hour finger foods were good but my friend ordered the Rare650 roll and I was done. Loaded w fish and rice that was a bloody meal ! Our bartendress Natalie was superb, along with the other bartender, (was he Mark? My apologies for forgetting his name) provided excellent service, I'd save the singles at the GC and make it rain on them, haha. The DJ was there but the music though....well not my genre. But hey, it was what the people liked, I think. Overall, great spot for Happy hour, and if the GM is reading this, give me a crack as the DJ , we can give it a Tulum vibe !

Rare 650 offers both great food and awesome service. They also offer freshly made Sushi Rolls. The restaurant has a beautiful decor and a large Bar in the center. For dessert try the Deconstructed Apple Pie, its delicious. Great place to meet friends and family for drinks or dinner. The Manager Cliff is always on hand to make sure everything is perfect. Parking not a problem they have a Valet.

Came here for a bridal shower in their greenhouse space and it was absolutely gorgeous! The servers were very attentive and kind, generously pouring wine for us when needed. The food was delicious, especially the Rare650 salad! The strawberry vinaigrette made for a refreshing (and different!) spring salad, and I hope to recreate it! I went with salmon for my entree and it was cooked perfectly with super flaky fish. Overall, had a wonderful time at this beautiful venue!

Delicious food served up by genuinely friendly staff in a spacious glitzy room under a glass conservatory roof - on Long Island? Yes, and Anthony Scotto's Rare650 proves it can be done! We passed a large bar that was hopping on a Monday evening and shown to a spacious table for four in the back of the dining room. Upbeat vibe with a diverse group of couples, large family groups and singles; everyone seemed to be having a good time. Rare650 uses a team approach to service, so we were never lacking for water service or anything else. The manager checked on each table to see that everything was going well throughout the evening as well. Loved my prickly pear margarita, just the right amount of fresh tart juice paired with premium tequila in a salt-rimmed glass. We ordered from the weekday price fixe menu which offers good value and a nice array of items ranging from vegetarian to carnivorous. Lobster bisque was flavorful with just the right amount of creaminess, perfect on a cold winter night. The bone-in ribeye was well worth the $20 upcharge, a hefty slab of tender prime beef cooked medium rare as ordered. The steak sauce had a sweetish BBQ flavor, not my fave so I opted for au naturale. Our server George urged us to share two sides since they're served family style in large portions, good advice. Mashed potatoes and creamed spinach were perfectly prepared. The only (slight) fault was that the food could have been served warmer. Our server had asked us if we were celebrating anything when we first sat down, I replied it was our anniversary. I didn't think much of that until he arrived at our table after dinner with a decorated plate of delicious donut halves sprinkled with raspberry sauce and a candle, on the house. A very lovely and much appreciated gesture that will keep us coming back.
